Online Croatian Language Teacher

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Croatian Language Teacher to provide online customized lessons to our client.

Job Information:

• Ref. # 196889: Online Croatian lessons for a male adult

• Availability: Flexible all day Monday to Friday when off tour (works as a tour guide); can discuss schedule directly with the teacher
   
• Student's location/time zone: London, United Kingdom (BST)
   
• Preferred start date: ASAP

• Lesson Frequency: When off tour, 3 to 5 lessons per week

• Lesson Duration: 60 minutes per session
   
• Preferred platform: Teacher can suggest one; he cannot use Zoom or Google Meet for lessons

• Current target language level: Complete beginner

• Native and other spoken languages: Native language is Romanian; near-native English, some Hungarian, and French

• Student's language needs and goals: He recently started working as a tour guide in Croatia. He would really like to have foundational knowledge of the language with a focus on everyday communication skills. He'd like to learn words and phrases that are relevant to his work as a tour guide in Croatia and also to learn about the culture and cultural DOs and DON'Ts.
   
• Learning preferences: Prefers structured lessons with clear objectives while allowing flexibility for improvement where needed. Enjoys conversation practice and values learning in different ways. Prefers independent practice and collaborative activities over games. Appreciates teachers who can adapt lessons naturally and provide practical communication-focused learning.
   
• Additional information: Has previous experience studying French, English, and German. Interested in food, local drinks, nature, and hospitality culture due to background in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
