Description
Greenville University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach online courses in Physics, including University Physics II and Quantum Mechanics. Adjunct faculty at GU serve as educators, mentors, and guides who invest in students’ academic growth and personal development within a Christ-centered learning community. This position supports Greenville’s mission by delivering high-quality online instruction that equips students for lives of character, service, and calling.
Courses may include University Physics II (lecture + online lab) and Quantum Mechanics (lecture + online lab), depending on qualifications and departmental needs.
Courses Included
University Physics II (Online)
Continuation of University Physics I, covering electric fields and forces, electric potential, resistors, capacitors, DC circuits, magnetic fields and forces, electromagnetic induction, inductors, electromagnetic waves, Maxwell’s equations, and optics. Delivered through online lectures, structured modules, virtual labs, and simulation-based activities.
Quantum Mechanics (Online)
Intermediate course using matrix formalism and operator methods. Topics include quantum states of photons and electrons, measurement, angular momentum, rotation, two-particle systems and entanglement, time evolution, harmonic oscillator, and wave mechanics in three dimensions. Includes online lab modules and simulation-based exercises.

Regular Undergraduate Adjunct rate with class enrollment of 10 or more per credit hour is $1000. This rate is subject to change based on enrollment numbers for the course.
