Position Overview
Thought Logic is hiring a OneStream Strategic Delivery Lead who will work closely with finance leaders to accelerate transformation and maximize the value of the OneStream CPM platform. You will shape solution design, oversee implementation and testing, and support successful training and user adoption. Your leadership and expertise will strengthen key finance areas such as consolidation, planning, and forecasting, enabling clients to realize meaningful and sustainable results. This role calls for excellent communication skills, solid financial and technical knowledge, and the capability to lead and influence cross functional teams.
What You'll Do:
Project Execution
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex OneStream initiatives across diverse clients and industries.
- Facilitate discovery sessions and requirements workshops with Finance and FP&A stakeholders across implementations, advisory projects, and application assessments.
- Own project scope, timeline, budget, and quality in partnership with the Project Manager, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Partner closely with OneStream Architects to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and project timelines.
- Validate technical designs to confirm they meet functional, performance, and scalability requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying enhancements to future engagements.
Leadership
- Manage multiple workstreams and coordinate functional and technical teams within a matrixed delivery model.
- Act as the primary liaison for client leadership, delivering clear status updates, risk insights, and strategic recommendations.
Sales / Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand client value and support business growth by recommending and selling additional project phases, enhancements, or new OneStream capabilities.
Functional Expertise
Serve as the functional SME for OneStream across areas including:
- Financial Consolidation & Close: Multi-GAAP, multi-currency, intercompany eliminations, ownership structures
- Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting: Driver-based models, scenario analysis, top-down and bottom-up planning
- Cash Flow Management: Direct and indirect methods, forecasting, and reporting
- Task Manager: Close management, workflow orchestration, audit trails
- Financial & Management Reporting: Dashboards, variance analysis, regulatory and management reporting
Additional responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
- Support process design, configuration, testing, training, and documentation.
- Advise Finance teams on best practices and process optimization using OneStream.
Technical Expertise
Lead or support technical design in areas such as:
- Data Architecture: Cube design, dimension modeling, hierarchies, member formulas
- Business Rules: VB.NET-based custom calculations, allocations, and automation
- User Experience: Dashboards, forms, workflows, and custom components
- Reporting & Analytics: Financial reports, management dashboards, ad-hoc tools
- Data Management: DM sequences, transformation rules, connectors, import/export processes
- Integrations: REST APIs, SFTP and integration with third-party systems
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- Solid background in accounting and finance
- EPM/CPM Leadership: 5 to 10 years leading enterprise performance management or corporate performance management implementations
- OneStream Expertise: multiple years of hands-on experience
- Finance Knowledge: Strong understanding of consolidation, planning, forecasting, close, and reporting processes
- Project Management: Proven success with multiple concurrent projects, competing priorities
- Technical Skills: Proficient in OneStream configuration, business rules, workflows, integrations, and reporting
- Methodology: Strong SDLC, agile, and project management framework knowledge
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences
- Leadership: Skilled in stakeholder management, team coordination, and conflict resolution
Great-to-Haves
- OneStream certifications (Lead Architect, Implementer, Developer)
- VB.NET, SQL, Python, or scripting experience
- Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), web services, ETL tools
- Background working in global, multi-entity, complex organizational environments
- Consulting experience (Big Four or boutique) or large-scale finance transformation projects
- Exposure to other EPM platforms: SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning
