Eliot is seeking an On-Call Overnight Stabilization Clinician to provide high-quality care and support to clients in need. Eliot’s innovative Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) program serves as a centralized access point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families, and adults.
As a Stabilization Clinician, you will play a critical role in delivering urgent care through crisis planning, stabilization, and short-term treatment to support clients during acute periods. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary CBHC team, you will provide solution-focused clinical interventions aimed at managing crises and promoting stability until ongoing services are established.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations, stabilization interventions, and stabilization planning for clients and families experiencing an acute and urgent need for behavioral healthcare.
- Be ready to begin mobile, onsite, or telehealth overnight crisis evaluation assignments within 60 mins of request.
- Provide side by side interventions to individuals/families that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
- Provide interventions in the office, virtually, in the community and in client’s residences based on client preference, client need, and at the clinical direction of the urgent care team.
- Complete evaluation processes when clinically appropriate to assess for safety, determine services needed, determine level of intervention including community planning, community-based services, immediate interventions, and the need for hospitalization.
- Develop short term treatment plans to support clients in the community rather than seeking emergency room services and/or hospitalization, include follow up support to a client and/or family that focus on stabilization, usage of other Eliot triage/CBHC staff, and utilize short term clinical supports.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field (Licensed Clinician is a plus)
- Experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or substance use.
- Strong diagnostic skills, competence in crisis intervention, ability to develop short term interventions to support clients/families, and engagement strategies.
- Must be able to quickly establish rapport with individuals with a wide range of clinical presentations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Schedule: On-Call, Overnight shift; 11:00pm-7:00am
The payment for providing overnight on-call coverage will be as follows:
$100.00 payment for the on-call shift.
$500.00 payment for the first completed evaluation.
$200.00 payment for each subsequent completed evaluation.
