The Office Manager will serve as a trusted partner to the Milliman Minneapolis Health and Life practice's leadership team, helping increase our effectiveness, capacity, and decision velocity by improving coordination and ensuring important work moves forward.

This role supports our leaders across a wide range of executive support, project coordination, communications, and operational responsibilities. Success in this position comes from anticipating needs, staying organized amid changing priorities, following through on details, and helping a fast-moving team operate more smoothly.

What You Will Do

 Executive Support & Coordination

  • Manage complex calendars, meeting schedules, and executive priorities
  • Coordinate travel, hotels, retreats, offsites, and team events
  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up communications
  • Track action items and help ensure commitments are completed
  • Support expense management and Concur submissions
  • Lead administrative team and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Conduct document comparisons, redlines, and version reviews
  • Draft correspondence, gather information, and support executive communications
  • Support legal review processes and contract coordination activities
  • Coordinate recruiting activities, interview scheduling, and HR-related workflows

Strategic Project Support

  • Support staff career development, goal tracking, and policy administration efforts
  • Coordinate special projects on behalf of leadership
  • Support annual planning efforts, retreats, offsites, and practice initiatives
  • Gather information and input from leaders and team members
  • Help organize materials related to growth initiatives, ownership discussions, and business planning
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, and follow-through across multiple initiatives
  • Confidential Executive Support
  • Participate in highly confidential meetings and discussions
  • Prepare and maintain sensitive business materials and records
  • Support compensation, bonus, and people-related processes
  • Exercise exceptional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information

Continuous Improvement & AI Enablement

  • Introduce and refine processes that improve efficiency, standardization, and collaboration
  • Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate drafting, summarization, scheduling, information synthesis, and presentation development
  • Help identify opportunities to reduce administrative burden across the practice
  • Continuously look for ways to make work easier, faster, and more effective for the team

What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience supporting executives, teams, or business operations
  • Experience in healthcare-oriented businesses
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational skills and follow-through
  • Strong project coordination and administrative skills
  • Executive Assistant support for senior leaders
  • Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding efforts
  • Experience with event, travel, retreat, or meeting planning

Personal Qualifications

  • Exceptional service orientation and desire to help others succeed
  • High discretion, integrity, and sound judgement
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Comfort working independently
  • Curiosity about how AI tools can improve productivity and collaboration

The Team

The Minneapolis Health and Life practice is composed of healthcare and long-term care insurance professionals who provide our clients with industry-leading consulting services. We also develop and maintain innovative products that complement our consulting services. We are an expanding group with experience leading the way in industries that continuously change and evolve. Our office encourages an open and collaborative work environment to help our professionals grow and thrive. The administrative team is involved in work that supports all areas of the practice.

Location

The expected application deadline for this job is September 4, 2026.

This role is based out of the Milliman office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US.

Compensation

The overall hourly range for this role is $34.47 - $63.42, which corresponds to an annual salary of $71,700 to $131,905 assuming 40 hours worked per week.

For candidates residing in:

  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $39.64 - $63.42, corresponding to a $82,455 - $131,905 annual salary assuming 40 hours worked per week.
  • All other locations the range is $34.47 - $55.14, correspond to a $71,700 - $114,700 annual salary assuming 40 hours worked per week.

A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. This is a non-exempt overtime eligible role.
