Description:


This individual provides guidance for the development of nursing and inter-professional research studies. This individual will be accountable for overseeing execution of research deliverables and will lead the research team to achieve research goals and objectives.

  • Support nursing research, evidence‑based practice, and Magnet designation efforts across 11 Baptist Health hospitals and system entities, partnering closely with nurses, nurse leaders, and Magnet teams.
  • Play a key role in a growing Graduate Medical Education (GME) partnership with FIU, supporting residents and physicians,  physician faculty with research development, scholarly projects, and publication.
  • Guide a wide range of research and improvement projects—from idea development through posters, podium presentations, and publication—for nurses, residents, and interprofessional teams.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of the annual Baptist Health Academic Conference, supporting systemwide dissemination of scholarly work.
  • Collaborate in a highly visible, systemwide Nurse Scientist team focused on mentorship, education, research support, and dissemination across nursing and medical programs.

 Estimated salary range for this position is $98,529.60 - $131,044.37 / year depending on experience.

Qualifications:


Degrees:

  •  PHD strongly preferred. 
  • Master's

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Collab Inst Training Init.
  • Registered Nurse.

Additional Qualifications:

  •  PhD strongly preferred.
  • Masters degree in Nursing - MSN. - Willing to enter into an accredited Nursing PhD program within 2 years of hire, PhD strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in academic or clinical research.
  • Strong, broad clinical background.
  • Effective relationship management skills and ability to build successful collaborations across programs and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills (including scientific and technical) - verbal, written and presentation, Strong knowledge of research regulations and Institutional Review Boards, Proficient in computer programs (Microsoft Office, statistical packages, qualitative data management).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Must be extremely flexible with ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must be willing/able to travel domestically and internationally.
