SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer to design, implement, support, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments for a diverse client base. Despite the title, this position is primarily focused on Systems Engineering and Infrastructure Administration, with a strong emphasis on virtualization, server technologies, and infrastructure deployment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience building and supporting virtualized environments, server infrastructure, and enterprise systems. This role requires a proactive engineer who can independently manage infrastructure projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver reliable technology solutions that support business operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions across multiple client environments.
• Implement, configure, and support virtualized environments utilizing VMware and Hyper-V technologies.
• Install, configure, and administer Windows Server environments.
• Deploy and maintain Dell and HPE server infrastructure.
• Perform system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Support and maintain storage, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, virtualization, operating system, and infrastructure issues.
• Integrate and maintain network services including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless networking, and network security technologies.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve system performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support activities as required.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, infrastructure best practices, and industry trends.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o VMware
o Hyper-V
o Windows Server
• Experience deploying and supporting:
o Dell Servers
o HPE Servers
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, infrastructure deployment, and server administration.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networking.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, storage, and business continuity solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across servers, virtualization platforms, and network environments.
• Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects.
• MSP experience is preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications such as VCP, MCSE, Azure, VMware, Microsoft, or related certifications are highly desirable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
• Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
