We strive to make real, fundamental change, driven by a simple purpose: to create the best health and wellbeing for all of Australia.

Help shape the future of healthcare partnerships at Medibank by joining our team as our National Provider Network Manager - Medical Specialists.

At Medibank, we're committed to creating better health outcomes for our customers and communities. We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded relationship leader to join our Health Partnerships & Networks team, managing some of Medibank's most important Medical Specialist provider partnerships.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys blending commercial strategy with strong partnership management, while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day delivery of a complex national network.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing key Medical Specialist Networks, including our Inpatient Diagnostic (IPD) network, Advara partnership and GapCover Scheme.
  • Building and strengthening relationships with provider groups, medical specialists, industry stakeholders and executive-level contacts.
  • Leading complex contract negotiations, compliance activities and commercial discussions.
  • Managing network performance, provider evaluations, KPIs, benefit outlay and program budgets.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new provider network initiatives.
  • Leading strategic projects to enhance and expand our Medical Specialist Networks and member value proposition.
  • Using data and insights to support decision-making, network performance and commercial outcomes.
  • Providing coaching and guidance to an indirect team member while working collaboratively across a broad stakeholder network.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial, partnerships, relationship management or provider network role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing contracts, budgets, negotiations and performance outcomes.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational execution and BAU management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Experience within healthcare, provider networks, private health insurance or a regulated industry is advantageous, but not essential.

Why join Medibank?

  • Work for one of Australia's leading health companies, supporting more than 4.2 million customers.
  • Be part of a team focused on improving healthcare access, value and outcomes.
  • Enjoy flexibility with no mandated office attendance days, giving you the freedom to choose where you work best.
  • Benefit from the teams current experiment with a 4 Day Work Week, designed to give employees more time to focus on what matters outside of work while continuing to deliver great outcomes for our customers.
  • Collaborate with passionate, purpose-led teams making a genuine impact on the health of Australians.
