Job Summary
The Multi-Line Claim Specialist is responsible for the investigation and strategic management of high-exposure, complex, and heavily litigated multi-line claims within a national accounts environment. This role manages claims from assignment through resolution (cradle to grave) and serves as a technical expert in coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and claim resolution.
This position is designed for highly experienced professionals with 10+ years of multi-line claims experience and a demonstrated ability to handle complex losses with significant legal involvement. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong litigation management skills, and the ability to navigate nuanced coverage issues, including contractual risk transfer.
This is not a transactional claims role. Success in this position requires strategic thinking, advanced negotiation skills, and the ability to partner closely with clients and legal counsel to drive optimal outcomes on high-stakes claims.

- Lead claim strategy on heavily litigated files, working closely with defense counsel to drive resolution
- Perform detailed coverage analysis, including policy interpretation and application
- Analyze and apply contractual risk transfer, including indemnity and additional insured provisions
- Establish and manage significant reserves, including ongoing reserve strategy and exposure evaluation
- Direct and oversee defense counsel, expert witnesses, and vendors to ensure effective claim progression
- Negotiate high-value settlements in alignment with legal strategy, client expectations, and authority guidelines
- Review and approve complex legal, medical, and damage-related invoices for accuracy and relevance
- Provide clear, strategic communication and reporting to clients, including claim status, exposure analysis, and resolution strategy
- Coordinate with excess and reinsurance carriers, including reporting and collaboration on large-loss files
- Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities where applicable
- Maintain comprehensive and defensible claim documentation within the claim system
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced adjusters when needed
- Ensure full compliance with corporate claim handling standards and client service commitments
