Position: MuleSoft Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MuleSoft Developer to support a large-scale enterprise learning platform transformation and migration program. This role will lead the design and development of enterprise integrations, extensive ETL/ELT workflows, and new API capabilities to connect learning, HR, identity, reporting, and downstream platform services. The ideal candidate will bring deep MuleSoft experience, strong integration engineering skills, and hands-on expertise in building scalable, reusable, and well-governed data and API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  
• Build and maintain Mule 4.x services, flows, connectors, and reusable integration components.
  
• Develop new APIs and integration services using RAML 1.0, REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
  
• Implement and support ETL/ELT workflows that move, transform, validate, and orchestrate data across systems.
  
• Develop robust transformations using DataWeave 2.0 and related mapping logic.
  
• Integrate enterprise learning platforms with upstream and downstream enterprise systems, including legacy learning platforms and related business applications.
  
• Work with technical leads and architects to translate business requirements into scalable integration and data movement solutions.
  
• Support deployment, release management, CI/CD pipelines, and environment promotion activities.
  
• Troubleshoot interface failures, data issues, and API defects; perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes.
  
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for APIs, mappings, transformations, and support procedures.
  
• Collaborate with QA, data engineering, and platform teams to ensure solution quality and delivery readiness.
  
• Provide status updates and work effectively in a geographically distributed delivery environment.
  

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software development or integration engineering.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  
• Deep experience with Mule 4.x and DataWeave 2.0.
  
• Strong experience designing and delivering new APIs using RAML 1.0 and API-led connectivity.
  
• Extensive experience with ETL/ELT, data movement, and transformation workflows.
  
• Strong working knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and web services.
  
• Experience with CI/CD, release management, and Agile delivery.
  
• Strong debugging, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to learning platforms, HR systems, or talent technology ecosystems.
  
• Experience integrating with Salesforce, identity platforms, or enterprise reporting tools.
  
• Familiarity with reusable MuleSoft design patterns and integration frameworks.
  
• Exposure to Python for scripting, automation, or supporting integration utilities.
  
• Hands-on use of GitHub Copilot or Claude for developer productivity.
  
• Experience working in a global, distributed delivery model.
  

Work Environment

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  
• Comfortable participating in online meetings and providing clear status updates across distributed teams.
