The APAC Modality Director, Genomic Medicine is responsible for Driving commercial growth, strategic execution, and market leadership across the assigned modality portfolio in APAC. The role owns end-to-end modality performance while leading strategic opportunities directly and enabling country teams to deliver sustainable growth.

This position reports to the APAC Genomic Medicine Commercial Leader and is part of the Genomic Medicine Commercial organization, located in APAC (flexible, Singapore or Japan preferred), working remotely to cover the region.

What you will do:

  • Drive commercial leadership and growth across APAC by owning modality-specific revenue performance, including order delivery, funnel expansion, and forecast accuracy management, while leading structured pipeline development and prioritizing high-value opportunities and strategic accounts in collaboration with country teams.
  • Ensure strong commercial excellence and operating discipline by maintaining high-quality funnel management, clear stage definition, and rigorous forecasting, while implementing scalable go-to-market processes and consistent operating rhythms across the region.
  • Lead strategic planning and modality business building aligned with global Genomic Medicine priorities by translating evolving market trends into actionable initiatives and driving spec-win strategies and platform adoption to embed Cytiva solutions within customer workflows.
  • Lead complex opportunities and key account engagement by supporting multi-country commercial deals, guiding pricing and competitive positioning, and engaging early in customer development cycles to increase win rates and long-term value creation.
  • Drive cross-functional and regional alignment by partnering with Commercial, Marketing, FAS, Service, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, while ensuring consistent execution, resource alignment, and operating cadence across APAC and global stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams by coaching and mentoring regional and country-level associates, driving accountability through structured performance management, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and results-oriented culture.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Significant commercial experience in Biopharma, Genomic Medicine, or Cell & Gene therapy
  • Proven experience managing regional or matrixed teams
  • Strong track record leading complex multi-country opportunities
  • Experience building scalable commercial processes or business models
  • Strong commercial acumen with deal leadership experience
  • Working knowledge and application of Danaher Business System (DBS) principles

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel across APAC region including overnight flights as required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in platform adoption or spec-win driven business models
  • Exposure to CDMO ecosystems or partnership-based market development
  • Application of Danaher Business System (DBS), including problem-solving tools, standard work, and continuous improvement mindset to drive commercial excellence and operational rigor
