About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Member Experience Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members, providers, and brokers—handling inquiries related to benefits, claims, billing, and authorizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and respond to email inquiries regarding:
    • Coverage and benefits
    • Claims status and billing questions
    • Prior authorizations and insurance verification
  • Translate complex healthcare and insurance terminology into clear, easy-to-understand information
  • Document detailed interactions and follow-up steps in internal systems
  • Perform insurance verification and review EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
  • Probe effectively during calls to ensure first-call resolution
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues
  • Escalate concerns appropriately when needed
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies
  • Protect and handle sensitive member health information (PHI) responsibly

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of healthcare customer service or call center experience
  • Experience with:
    • Commercial insurance
    • Insurance verification
    • EOBs and prior authorizations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Training & Schedule

  • Training: 6–8 weeks (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST)
  • Post-Training Schedule Options:
    • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Environment

  • Fully remote (must reside in Wisconsin)
  • Equipment pickup required in Brookfield or Menasha, WI
    • Shipping available for candidates living 90+ miles away
  • Optional onsite work in Brookfield after 6 months (with pay incentive)
  • Fast-paced, high-volume call center environment

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly pay
  • +$5/hour onsite incentive after 6 months (if working onsite in Brookfield)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menasha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
