Primary Responsibilities:

• Codes ancillary facility encounters such as clinic, recurring accounts, lab, therapy, and radiology
• Confirms documentation supports code selection and resolves facility edits and Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) impacts
• Applies International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) and Current Procedural 
• Terminology (CPT)/Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes
• Meets established quality and productivity standards in a production environment

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Required Certifications: American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) credential (Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Professional Coder-Hospital (CPC-H))
• 1+ years of Ancillary experience
• 1+ years of ICD-10 experience
• Intermediate level of understanding of National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI)/Medically Unlikely Edits (MUE) basics and facility modifier awareness

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EHR systems
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20 - $36 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
