Description
The agency may authorize the selected candidate to telecommute. The agency may terminate or modify the
telecommuting arrangement at any time.
The Department for Aging and Independent Living provides services for the aged and physically disabled
populations across the state. The Department is charged with assisting individuals in obtaining needed home
and community-based care and services to prevent premature admission into a long-term care facility. The goal
of the departments programs is to assist individuals with remaining in their own home for as long as possible.
The Department is currently seeking a high energy, self-motivated individual with the desire to assist the
Division in supporting the departments goals.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Perform advanced analysis of records to identify provider deficiencies.
Evaluate regulations and policies, providing expert recommendations for improvement.
Develop, interpret and maintain comprehensive statistical reports and tracking spreadsheets.
Addresses complex inquiries and prepares detailed oral or written responses.
Analyze and report impact of policy changes, providing expert insight to inform decision making and strategic planning.
Conduct monitoring and technical reviews of agencies providing waiver services.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Four years of experience in Medicaid or Medicare program administration, health insurance administration/systems, eligibility systems, health care research, health care planning, health care financial management, health care policy development, human service or health care administration, insurance billing and/or claims, or research, review, and analysis of legislation or regulations.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Experience in the above areas will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for year basis.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
