Purpose

The Dealer Growth Strategist (DGS) owns the outcome:
Help dealerships sell more cars by identifying and fixing bottlenecks across the full system.

This role is not limited to advertising performance.

The DGS is responsible for diagnosing issues and driving improvements across:
  • Traffic quality
  • Website conversion
  • CRM follow-up
  • Appointment rates
  • Show rates
  • Sales process
  • Attribution and reporting
The DGS acts as the dealership’s strategic growth partner and accountability lead.

Core Responsibilities

1. Bottleneck Diagnosis (Primary Responsibility)
Identify what is limiting dealership growth and performance.
Analyze:
  • Lead quality
  • VDP conversion rates
  • CRM response times
  • Appointment rates
  • Show rates
  • Close rates
  • Inventory challenges
  • Attribution clarity
Determine the highest-impact opportunities to improve sales performance.

2. Full-Funnel Performance Ownership
Own dealership performance from:
Traffic → Lead → Appointment → Show → Sold
Focus on:
  • Cost per car sold
  • Conversion efficiency
  • Overall dealership growth
3. Growth Strategy & Execution
Create and lead actionable growth plans for assigned dealerships.
Responsibilities include:
  • Prioritizing highest-impact changes
  • Coordinating implementation across teams
  • Driving weekly optimization cycles
  • Monitoring performance and adjusting quickly

4. Client Leadership & Accountability
Lead dealership conversations with confidence and data.
Responsibilities:
  • Communicate strategic direction clearly
  • Challenge assumptions when needed
  • Hold clients accountable to agreed actions

5. Data & Insight Utilization
Use data to drive decisions and recommendations.
Leverage:

Ensure all departments are aligned around dealership growth goals.

7. Churn Prevention
Identify churn risks early and take corrective action.
Focus on:
  • Client communication consistency

  • Identifying operational bottlenecks limiting results
