Leidos’ Defense Systems Mechanical Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Material Planning Analyst to join our team of highly skilled planning and production scheduling professionals in the Huntsville, Alabama location. This role requires an extensive background in Deltek Costpoint, or equivalent production scheduling software, and excels at building and executing production schedules that keep complex programs on track.  The Material Planning Analyst will be responsible for material ordering, tracking and expediting to support multiple production areas.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Create Purchase Requisitions from Costpoint MRP Action Messages
  • Maintain Proper Manufacturing Lead-times, and order policies in Costpoint
  • Analyze demand signals and quickly identify any anomalies.
  • Monitor and track incoming materials

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience will be considered
  • Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities, including experience obtaining quotes and interacting with vendors.
  • Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deltek Costpoint accounting software
  • Windchill configuration management software
  • Interpreting and ordering from a Bills of Materials
  • Government contractor material purchasing requirements
  • Experience in ordering Electronic components desired

Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
