JOB SUMMARY – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   

 

The Marketing Associate will support the Oncology global business unit and help to drive growth and support the business needs. This role supports both upstream and downstream product marketing activities while contributing to brand marketing initiatives that drive customer engagement, awareness, and business growth. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product support gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Help to translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Help to provide feedback to engineering teams to aid in delivering with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Help to support product launches including working with internal partners including Sales, Communications, and other cross-functional team members
  • Help support promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
  • Attend and support company-sponsored events such as trade shows, physician training courses, webinars, sales meetings, and commercial events
  • Analyze sales (targeting, gap reports, market trends), campaign, digital, and market performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth
  • Work with internal partners to maintain current collateral (choose to obsolete, remove obsolete part numbers, execute a refresh)
  • Tradeshow execution – what to exhibit, workshops, advertisements, and logistics
  • Be the marketing representative on smaller R&D and operational projects (SKU rationalization, DCAF, supplier changes)
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, website content upkeep and management, social media strategy facilitation, and webinar execution
  • Sales support with all sales tools, simulators, inventory, and dashboards
  • Manage organizational print vendor, inventory, and collateral refresh online
  • Coordinate Regulatory and Legal review processes to ensure timely approval of marketing materials and compliance with internal procedures
  • May perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS –The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor Level of Degree in the Marketing or related field of study
  • 0-2 years of demonstrated experience 
  • No Certifications Required
  • Any preferred education, experience or certifications:  Medical Device experience preferred

 

Skills/Knowledge

  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be comfortable challenging current thinking and be flexible to adapt to changing regulations, business needs and priorities
  • Self-starter that is able to work well within the group environment. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to excel in a team environment
  • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.

  • Exposure to standard office environment and hospital/OR setting
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15lbs
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Ability to regularly sit or stand for extended periods of time 
  • This position requires some travel up to 30% of the time
