General Description
Centering Healthcare Institute (CHI) is a 25-year old 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to champion and advance the evidence-based Centering group model of care to transform how healthcare is practiced and experienced, empowering healthcare providers and patients to improve health outcomes. CHI partners with approximately 480 provider organizations across the U.S. to implement and sustain its three Centering group models of care - CenteringPregnancy®, CenteringParenting ®, and CenteringHealthcare ®.

Position Summary
The Marketing & Communications (MarComms) Specialist plays a critical role in executing CHI’s multi-channel marketing and communications strategy. This position supports day-to-day content development, campaign execution, communications, and brand management across CHI’s organizational priorities—including awareness campaigns, donor communications, internal communications, social media and partner-facing materials.
This role ensures high-quality, timely, brand-aligned messaging that advances CHI’s mission, strengthens stakeholder engagement and supports the work of the Director of Communications & Media Relations. By providing dedicated operational capacity, the MarComms Specialist enables the communications team to scale campaigns, strengthen storytelling and support CHI’s expanding revenue, partnership, awareness, and engagement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for the Marketing Communications Specialist is $70,000-$80,000 based on the qualifications and years of relevant experience the selected candidate brings.
Work Submission
Submitting previous work, such as a portfolio, writing sample, or relevant work sample, is highly preferable. Applications submitted with at least one sample will be reviewed preferentially. The sample could be any past example of a work asset, marketing plan, press release, op-ed, email that is part of an email marketing campaign, blog post, social media posts, or anything that shows off what you can do!

Working Conditions
The Marketing Specialist works primarily in a remote environment with a standard full-time schedule, though occasional irregular hours may be required to support deliverables and events. This role values adaptability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Regular communication via Teams, Zoom, email, or similar tools is essential to maintain alignment and productivity. The position requires the ability to meet deadlines, deliver high-quality work independently, and use standard office equipment and technology. Occasional travel may be required for conferences, meetings, retreats, and other business-related events.
Vaccination Requirements
As a condition of employment, each candidate selected for employment will be required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination prior to the selected candidate’s start date with the Company and be fully vaccinated (as that term may be defined by the CDC) within 30 days from that date, unless approved for an exemption.
