Summary:
We are seeking a Market Places Business & Data Analyst to support and scale BEL USA’s third-party marketplace ecosystem across platforms including Amazon, Walmart, and TEMU. The role combines data analysis, marketplace business strategy, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue, profitability, and marketplace presence.
This position reports to the Director of Market Places within the Ecommerce/Marketplace team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketplace Strategy & Operations
- Own analysis and reporting for marketplace performance (Amazon, Walmart, TEMU).
- Identify opportunities to grow sales, increase visibility, and optimize product assortment.
- Support pricing, promotions, advertising strategies, and inventory planning in marketplace channels.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Brand teams to align marketplace launches and campaigns.
- Data Analytics & Insights
- Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reports for key metrics such as sales, traffic, conversions, ad spend ROI, buy box %, and customer behavior.
- Analyze marketplace trends and competitive performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Use SQL, Excel/Sheets, Python/R or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to deliver actionable insights.
- Implement A/B tests to optimize product content, pricing, and promotions.
- Marketplace Content & Optimization
- Ensure product listings are fully optimized with high-quality content, keywords, and compliance with marketplace policies.
- Work with Content/Creative teams to improve SEO and conversion rates for marketplace catalogs.
- Advertising & Spend Optimization
- Analyze advertising performance (Amazon PPC, Walmart Ads, TEMU promotions).
- Recommend bid strategies, keyword targets and budget allocation to maximize ROI.
- Collaborate with Marketing on paid and organic strategies to improve marketplace discoverability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance to forecast marketplace revenue and profitability.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to manage inventory levels, replenishment, and FBA/WFS processes.
- Liaise with Customer Service to address marketplace-specific issues and feedback.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of analytical experience in ecommerce or marketplace environments.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization (Excel, SQL, BI tools).
- Experience with Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, and/or TEMU Seller tools.
- Ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Power BI or SQL.
- Prior experience in promotional products, retail, or consumer goods.
- Familiarity with marketplace advertising platforms and optimization techniques.
