Job title: Manufacturing Business Systems Analyst
Job Location: Chicago, IL 60601. Employer allows remote work for this position.

Job duties: Analyze engineering and business date processing problems to develop new business processes and implement solutions to complex applications problems. Support stakeholders to prepare return-on-investment analyses and business cases for project review and approvals to aid in decisions on system implementation. Assess the usefulness of existing application systems. Provide staff with ongoing assistance solving computer-related problems for Manufacturing applications. Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions through root cause analysis and determine appropriate solutions to restore normal functioning. Update configuration to improve workflow, working with developers to ensure adequate end user testing and acceptance. Consult with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimize existing processes and technologies, ensure agreement on system principles, and assess new technologies and business solutions. Coordinate support escalation, communication with business, service desk, and technical teams. Support cross-functional issues investigation, testing, and resolution. Interface with internal / external auditors during SOX audits. Ensure that all Information Systems Helpdesk Service Level Agreements and metrics are adhered to. Research and identify appropriate solutions to optimize and develop programs that meet staff requirements. Develop, document, and revise functional specifications from business requirements for the development team. Develop training and process documentation to work with new functionality and projects for staff. Use the computer in the analysis and solution of business problems for medium sized projects from definition through implementation. Communicate issues, enhancement, project status to business stakeholders and management. Work closely with relevant business teams to recommend business process changes based on knowledge of manufacturing solutions and best business practices. Provide staff with ongoing assistance solving computer-related problems for Manufacturing applications. Assist users in determining the best methods for data reporting.
Travel: Travel required to various worksites around the US at least 1x/ quarter.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related plus 5 years of experience in designing, configuring and implementing Manufacturing Execution (MES) and Quality Management Systems (QMS), and business partnering or related. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $148,000 to $150,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
