The Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing product strategy and delivering high-quality, end-to-end product solutions. This role owns the full product lifecycle — from ideation through launch and continuous improvement — ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.

 

The Product Manager identifies and prioritizes features that differentiate the product and drive value, with a strong focus on enhancing the experience of both internal and external customers.

 

Working cross-functionally, this role partners with project managers, software engineers, customer service teams, and external stakeholders to bring products to market and ensure ongoing success.

 

A key focus of this position is designing intuitive, compliant, and scalable solutions that enable parents to effectively access and manage available funds, while aligning product outcomes with organizational goals and customer needs.

 

Location: Remote (United States)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Parent-facing commerce and spending experiences.
  • Marketplace and service provider integrations.
  • Reimbursements, direct pay, and purchase workflows.
  • Transaction lifecycle design (authorization → settlement → confirmation).
  • UX flows that reduce friction while enforcing policy rules.
  • Partner and vendor enablement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success and a proven track record of professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, industries or military service can substitute for professional experience and/or formal education requirements.
  • Requires three to five years’ experience as a full-time product manager, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in commerce, payments, or spending platforms:
    • Examples: marketplaces, e-commerce, fintech wallets, reimbursements, payment rails.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Purchase flows.
    • Authorization and settlement concepts.
    • Refunds, reversals, and exceptions.
  • While this role is not responsible for accounting systems, you must understand that:
    • Every dollar spent maps to a PR, PO, and Invoice.
    • Transactions must align to downstream accounting rules.
    • Spending actions must be auditable and traceable.

 

You’ll Stand Out If You Have:

  • Experience in commerce, payments, or spending platforms:
    • Examples: marketplaces, e-commerce, fintech wallets, reimbursements, payment rails.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Purchase flows.
    • Authorization and settlement concepts.
    • Refunds, reversals, and exceptions.
  • While this role is not responsible for accounting systems, you must understand that:
    • Every dollar spent maps to a PR, PO, and Invoice.
    • Transactions must align to downstream accounting rules.
    • Spending actions must be auditable and traceable.

 

Key Competencies:

Working Conditions and Equipment Use:

  • Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment - not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance may be required, depending on role responsibilities. 
  • Must be able to lift up to fifteen (15) pounds.
  • Frequent use of office machines to include telephone, computer, and printer.
