What You’ll Do

Leads our data governance initiatives, ensuring that our data assets are properly managed, protected, and leveraged to drive business value. This role is responsible for spearheading and executing FourLeaf's enterprise data governance strategy, ensuring the effective development and adoption of trusted, high-quality data assets that enable the achievement of our enterprise strategy. This includes leveraging data to drive growth of our loan and deposit portfolio, enhance member experience, and ensure regulatory compliance, while maintaining the integrity, security, and quality of our data assets.

Strong background in strong background in data governance, data protection, data security, and master data management, as well as expertise in Snowflake and data transformation.

This position is open to flexible work options including a remote set up.

Core Contributions

• Strategy and Leadership
  • Execute & support FourLeaf's enterprise data governance strategy to drive business value and achieve enterprise objectives.
  • Review and refine Data Governance Policies: Develop, communicate, and drive the adoption of data governance policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Lead data governance forums (e.g., SteerCos, Data Working Groups) and champion data governance with the broader FourLeaf data community, influencing stakeholders to adopt best practices and enforce policies and standards.
• Data Governance and Quality
  • Implement Enterprise Data Dictionary: Implement an enterprise data dictionary and promote the use of data products to minimize redundancy and accelerate delivery.
  • Ensure published data assets include a data glossary with approved definitions, as well as documented business and technical rules, and calculations for key performance indicators (KPIs), to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain data lineage and data provenance to ensure data transparency.
  • Implement data quality metrics and monitoring to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Develop and implement data validation rules and data cleansing processes as required.
• Data Security, Privacy and Protection
  • Develop and implement data protection and security measures.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance related to data management and protection.
• Collaboration on Master Data Management Initative
  • Design and Govern Master Data: Design and govern master data models, standards, and policies, ensuring data standardization, normalization, and harmonization across the organization.
  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data across various systems and sources.
• Drive AI enablement and adoption of ethical AI practices
  • Develop and implement AI governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure responsible AI development and deployment.
  • Collaborate with AI stakeholders to identify and mitigate AI risks, such as bias and data breaches.
  • Develop and implement AI ethics principles and guidelines to ensure AI development and deployment align with organizational values and principles.
• Technical Expertise and Implementation
  • Provide expertise in Snowflake and data transformation related to Data Governance.
  • Collaborate on the implementation of data governance platforms and tools.
  • Ensure effective data management and analytics capabilities.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive data governance initiatives- Communicate data governance strategies and policies to stakeholders.
  • Ensure stakeholder buy-in and adoption of data governance practices

Assets You Will Bring

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data protection, data security, and master data management.
• 5+ years of experience working in the banking industry, with deep understanding of banking operations, regulations, and data management best practices.
• Strong background in data governance, data protection, data security, and master data management.
• Strong SQL skills: Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Knowledge of data platforms used in cataloging and managing data. Expertise in Snowflake and data transformation related to Data Governance.
• Proven experience in implementing data quality and data trust frameworks.
• Certifications:  Certified Data Governance Professional (CDGP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.

• Computer Skills: Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex SQL queries; Knowledge of data platforms used in cataloging and managing data; Expertise in Snowflake and data transformation related to Data Governance.

The estimated salary for this role is $117,456.00 to $146,819.00 annually. (FourLeaf Federal Credit Union offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; life and disability insurance; voluntary benefit programs; a 401(k) plan with employer match; reimbursement and wellness programs; and an annual performance-based bonus.) In addition to the salary or hourly rate listed above there may be other compensation & benefits available.
