The Machine Operator III is responsible for performing complex machine setups, operations, and maintenance while ensuring all products meet quality specifications. They must also document production logs, handle hazardous materials safely, and support cross-functional teams in continuous improvement initiatives.
Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator III on its Saline, MI team! This is a second shift opportunity. The Machine Operator III is a senior-level performs complex machine operations with a high degree of technical skills including complex setups and adjustments, quality control, real time optimization, routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and shut down assigned equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Perform basic programming and preventive maintenance tasks; maintain accurate logs and documentation.
Ensure all products meet quality specifications and production schedules.
Notify the Machine Group Leader of any quality issues or deviations.
Profile Wave equipment to achieve proper reflow performance.
Handle and dispose of dross from leaded and non-leaded solder in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Maintain fixtures and perform routine fixture maintenance.
Replace materials in pressure pots for conformal coating processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment.
Support cross-functional teams and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.in conformal coating and other production tasks as required.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and component identification.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions and work with hand tools.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and strong work ethic.
Willingness to operate various machines as directed by the supervisor.
