M&A Transaction Advisory / Due Diligence Consultant
Location: Remote (US) Type: Contract (project-based, often 4-12 weeks per engagement) Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience (high-end for PE consulting) Overview: Support PE firms during deal generation, commercial/operational due diligence, and post-close integration by identifying risks, synergies, value creation levers, and operational efficiencies in potential acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive operational, commercial, and financial due diligence on targets across industries.
- Assess operational performance, supply chain resilience, cost structures, and scalability.
- Quantify EBITDA adjustments, synergies, and value creation opportunities.
- Support carve-out analyses, add-on integrations, and risk mitigation planning.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for PE investment committees.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in transaction advisory, due diligence, or M&A consulting, preferably with PE focus (e.g., at top strategy firms or boutiques like IGS).
- Deep experience in operational due diligence, quality of earnings, and post-merger value creation.
- Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and industry knowledge (manufacturing, healthcare, or tech a plus).
- Ability to work under tight deal timelines with high attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
