Health & Benefits Consultant - Albany, NY (Remote)
Position Overview: We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Health & Benefits Consultant to join our agency. This role is responsible for developing and managing client relationships while helping businesses and individuals select, implement, and maintain health insurance solutions, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
As a key member of our growing team, you will serve as both a consultant and account manager-guiding clients through plan selection, enrollment, and ongoing service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities with small and mid-sized companies
- Educate employers and individuals on available health, dental, and vision insurance options
- Design and present customized benefits packages tailored to client needs and budgets
- Manage the full enrollment process for group and individual clients
- Provide ongoing service and support, including renewals, plan changes, and issue resolution
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure retention and satisfaction
- Stay current on industry trends, carrier offerings, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with agency leadership to support growth and expansion of the benefits division
Qualifications:
- Active life, accident, and health insurance license in NY
- Experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or related field
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities independently
- Sales-driven mindset with a consultative approach
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
