About Glade AI

Glade builds cutting-edge AI software for bankruptcy law firms. Our platform handles the repetitive parts of bankruptcy work so attorneys can spend their time on the clients who need them. We're a small team, based in the Bay Area and the Northeast Corridor, building agentic tools for legal work.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a summer intern for our Legal Operations team. The team works between the firms that use our software and the engineers who build it. As a Legal Ops intern, you’ll help drive the communication between those two groups: joining client calls, hearing what firms need, and solving problems. You’ll translate firm practices and requests back to the developers who can act on it. You'd also own a good share of the operational work that keeps the team running.

We want someone curious about law, policy, and technology, comfortable in professional settings, who already reaches for AI to get more done. We'll teach you the platform and the bankruptcy domain. What you bring is curiosity, precision, and the ability to pick things up fast.

How We Use AI

AI tools are part of how our Legal Operations team works every day — drafting, research, automation. You'd use it the same way. We’re looking for a candidate who exercises fastidious and well-reasoned AI judgment. A lot of the work is connecting tools, including APIs, integrations, and automation, so systems pass information without someone doing it by hand. You'll get hands-on with the same kind of tooling our engineers use to build and run the product, and you'll use it to make the team faster.

What You'll Do

Client experience and communication

  • Join client calls and internal discussions, follow what matters, and help our team act.

  • Leverage your analytical skills to support bankruptcy firms and learn how they work so you can help them get more out of Glade.

  • Handle confidential firm and client information, including sensitive financial and personal data, with care.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with firms’ partners, attorneys, paralegals, and other staff.

Workflow building and documentation

  • Work with the Legal Operations team to build, design, test, and refine the workflows firms rely on.

  • Build workflow configurations carefully — a single mismatched key or variable can quietly break a firm's process.

  • Draft internal and firm-facing documentation of Glade’s operating procedures that will help our team refine UX.

Operations and initiative

  • Run established processes reliably and completely, then look for ways to improve them.

  • Keep trackers and operational records accurate and current.

  • Notice what needs doing before someone asks, and work through unfamiliar problems by reasoning carefully and asking good questions.

Who We're Looking For

Background

  • Current student or recent graduate in law, public policy, economics, computer science, philosophy, history, or a related field.

  • Prior exposure to the legal profession through coursework, a law firm, legal aid organization, court, clinic, or similar experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated interest in legal technology, AI, or the future of professional services.

  • Available full-time for the duration of the summer internship.

  • Eastern Time Zone and proximity to the New York metropolitan area are plusses.

Skills

  • AI fluency with judgment. You use AI tools by default and you’ve used them enough know when their output is wrong. You ‘re ready to learn how to turn tasks into a repeatable processes.

  • Attention to detail. You catch small errors early, and you're ready to learn how to manipulate structured data, templates, and configurations where exact syntax matters.

  • Strong writing. You explain complex things simply and can show your thinking on the page.

  • Exposure to the legal world. Prior contact with American law and its function — a firm internship, coursework, a campus legal clinic, mock trial, etc. — will help you understand what firms and attorneys care about.

  • Data fluency. You can clean and maintain a spreadsheet or tracker without breaking it.

  • Technical curiosity. You're comfortable learning and thinking about how software systems connect — data, APIs, the integrations that pass information between tools — and you want to understand how the product gets built.

What We Offer

  • Paid internship with competitive summer compensation.

  • Direct mentorship from the Legal Operations team.

  • Real ownership of meaningful client and operations work.

  • Hands-on AI exposure to the tools changing legal work, used in production.

  • A foundation in operations, client success, and applied AI, with a possible path to a full-time Legal Operations role.
