Learning Management Specialist

 

Mariner is seeking a skilled Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist to oversee the daily operations of Docebo and ensure the efficient, reliable delivery of organization-wide learning initiatives. This role is responsible for user support, administrative management of the LMS, and quality assurance in project execution. The ideal candidate is technically proficient with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities and collaborates closely with HRIS, other LMS specialists, and cross-functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Platform Configuration & Customization: Handle daily administration and configuration of the LMS. Recommend and implement system enhancements to optimize functionality and user experience.

  • User Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the first point of contact for user issues, investigate root causes, and resolve or escalate technical problems to ensure seamless system operation.

  • Project Review & Quality Assurance: Review system configurations, test learner experiences, and confirm launch readiness for new content and features.

  • Technical Proficiency: Navigate the LMS and integrated technologies with ease, stay informed about new LMS trends, and communicate upcoming enhancements to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration with Content Creators: Work with content owners to ensure course and content additions align with business strategies and governance standards, maximizing overall LMS effectiveness.

  • Content Management: Upload, organize, and configure learning content and paths. Conduct system testing and quality checks to ensure content functionality.

  • User Management: Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions accurately and securely.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Monitor user activity, validate data accuracy, and generate reports to inform strategic decisions.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LMS platforms, with experience in maximizing system capabilities. Familiarity with tools like Smartsheet for request tracking and automation workflows is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving: Advanced troubleshooting skills; able to analyze and resolve complex system issues, breaking them down into actionable components.

  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity regarding technical aspects and support.

  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized, precise, and thorough in all aspects of work, with strong planning and task prioritization skills.

  • Adaptability: Demonstrates a willingness to learn and embrace new tools and technologies, positively responding to change and unexpected challenges.

 

Requirements:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, instructional design, instructional technology, management information systems, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in LMS administration, learning technology, or technical support.

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Docebo administration; 2 years preferred.

  • Proficient with LMS management tools and technologies, including content authoring, database management, authentication, integrations, analytics, and reporting.
