Responsibilities

Conduct technical and business system evaluations and design and implement systems and procedures to assist clients with technical solutions to business issues. Responsible for capturing customer requirements, translating them into functional specifications and configuration guides, and verifying deployment of Edifecs’ products. Define business rules, translation rules and other configuration items for installation of Edifecs software to meet business needs. Guide client business and technical teams in defining requirements, translating requirements into functional specifications, and assisting during implementation. Develop test plans and test cases for transactions and execute test cases when required. Manage operations for multiple customers; including timeliness of data processing, quality of data submission and assist customers to comply with State and CMS requirements. Deliver product training to new clients. Conduct reviews of functional implementation and guide others. Create reusable templates and materials over the course of various implementations and contribute to knowledge base. Work with Product Technical Support, Engineering, and Product teams when resolving customer or internal product issues. Serve as domain and functional expert for customer and internal teams. Drive product roadmap based on customer feedback. Understand industry trends and provide suggestions or recommendations to implement them as applicable. Provide consulting to customer on Edifecs products and help in solution designing. Monitor and track various service level commitments to customers and take necessary steps to adhere to the commitments. Recommend customer process changes for best usage of product and achieve results.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus 7 years of experience in the healthcare IT industry. Also requires: 7 years of experience gathering requirements from business users and translating into detailed system specifications, identifying system configurations, rules, and constraints for design and development; 7 years of experience creating epics, features, user stories, use cases, business, functional and system requirements using software engineering tools; 7 years of experience handling production defects, including analyzing code and data fixes, triaging issues to development and QA teams, and monitoring defects until resolution; 7 years of experience reviewing designs and technical solutions for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping, and EDI analysis; 7 years of experience in leading business analysis and process improvement projects; 5 years of experience providing design support, development QA and UAT support to the team for all the SDLC phases until deployment; 5 years of experience preparing and coordinating the data mapping documents for various HIPAA EDI standard formats 278 for Prior Authorizations, 837 for Claims and Encounters, Provider files, Vendor proprietary files, and HL7 transactions; and 5 years of experience in standardization of business processes and implementing standard processes across the organization. Base compensation ranges from $139,682 to $145,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
