Lead Software Engineer / Full-Stack Tech Lead

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead / Full-Stack Lead Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of our next-generation pricing, sales and marketing platforms, such as our dynamic pricing software platform. This individual will lead a team of engineers to build a data-intensive application leveraging AWS cloud services, Java, ensuring high scalability, performance, and robustness. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set the technical vision, guide architectural decisions, and contribute directly to coding and solution design while mentoring and developing your team.

This role can be performed fully remotely within Poland. The salary for this position ranges from PLN 30 000 to PLN 32 000 gross/month (UoP) or PLN 160 to 170 nett/hour (B2B) depending on the candidate’s relevant experience, skill set, level of expertise and overall fit for the role. Additional factors such as industry background, technical competencies and interview performance may also influence the final offer. For employees hired under an employment contract (UoP), the compensation package at Simon-Kucher CBS consists of a gross base salary, a monthly remote work allowance and an annual bonus. The bonus is paid in December and is based on the results of a 360-degree performance evaluation.

How you will create an impact:
  • Building reliable software solutions: You take technical responsibility for one of our product lines in the pricing domain and design, build and operate reliable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. You also lead estimation, design and implementation of new features and projects from a technical perspective.
  • Hands-On development: You actively contribute to coding in a high-output environment.
  • Drive architecture and technical vision: You manage technical debt and develop a long-term tech strategy and roadmap for the software solutions under your responsibility.

Your profile:
  • You have a bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong programming background in Java and Spring Boot.
  • You are proficient in frontend development with Angular or React.
  • You have experience with TypeScript.
  • You have hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Glue, and Redshift.
  • You are already working in a technical leadership (at least 2 years) role and are an expert in designing, building, and running highly available, multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
  • You have experience in data-driven applications across various domains, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and online analytical processing, and you are proficient in technologies in these fields.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • Any relevant AWS or Java certifications would be a strong asset.
  • Python is nice to have.
