The Lead Scheduler will own the schedule review discipline for hyperscale data center projects, setting standards and conducting independent reviews of developer schedules. This role involves managing a team, performing trend analysis, identifying risks, and ensuring high-quality deliverables for client-facing reports.
Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries.
Working with our clients across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, we transform together delivering outcomes that improve people’s lives. Working in partnership makes it possible to deliver the world’s most impactful projects and programmes as we turn challenge into opportunity and complexity into success.
Our capabilities include programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions.
We are majority-owned by CBRE Group, Inc., the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, with our partners holding a significant minority interest. Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier programme, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Lead Scheduler to own the schedule review discipline for a confidential hyperscale data center client, both setting the standard other reviewers work to and carrying a portfolio of independent schedule reviews yourself. You will test whether developer-provided delivery dates are realistic, and you will decide what a rigorous review looks like for everyone doing that work alongside you.
This is a working lead role: part senior reviewer, part team lead. On your own deals, you review developer schedules from the ground up, test critical path and delivery dates, and flag plainly what the data does not support, the same work as everyone on your team. Beyond your own deals, you set the method: what a complete schedule review covers, what evidence standard it has to meet, and how findings get checked before they reach a client. You decide where the team's time goes based on risk and urgency, and you are the second set of eyes on the higher-stakes findings.
This is not a delivery role, and it does not replace the Program Manager's ownership of the overall risk picture on any deal. You and your team provide the schedule evidence; the Program Manager builds the risk picture from it and carries it to the client's deal team. It is also not a purely managerial role: you keep a real caseload of your own, current on the same tools and standards you are asking your team to meet.
This role works closely with Program Managers across your region and with the leads of the other review disciplines. The preferred locations are San Francisco or Northern Virginia. Remote can be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
