AI Summary

Lead the end-to-end design of non-jewelry merchandise from concept to production-ready tech packs. Direct jewelry designers to ensure cohesion across capsule collections and align products with brand fit and commercial viability.

Role overview

Owns hands-on design of merchandise beyond jewelry (apparel, accessories, and complementary products) from concept through tech pack and sampling, and directs jewelry concepts for cohesion across capsule collections. Builds collections where the campaign is designed in from the first sketch. Works with the founder, operations, and the jewelry designers.

What you'll do

  • Design merchandise beyond jewelry (apparel, accessories, and complementary products) from concept through tech pack and sampling.
  • Direct, curate, and quality-check jewelry concepts, CADs, renders, and samples for brand fit and cohesion. You direct the jewelry designers, you do not produce the CAD yourself.
  • Build capsule collections where jewelry and complementary products tie together under one concept, with the launch built into the collection from the start.
  • Write clear briefs for the jewelry designers and hold cohesion across each capsule.
  • Give direct, specific feedback on active concepts: brand fit, wearability, commercial viability, and whether the anime reference reads clearly without being tacky.
  • Build tech packs and run sampling to production-ready quality.
  • Plan collections against a launch calendar that works backward from real dates.

Must-haves

  • Portfolio of physical fashion or merchandise products (jewelry, apparel, accessories, or adjacent) you personally helped develop and bring to market.
  • Hands-on tech pack creation and experience running sampling with manufacturers or suppliers.
  • Product taste aligned with a premium, design-led brand, plus the commercial judgment to know what will sell, to whom, and at what price.
  • Genuine anime knowledge, current titles, fandom culture, and what resonates with the audience.
  • Shopify or ecommerce product experience.
  • Written and spoken English at C2 level. This is a hard requirement.

The details

  • Fully remote, open to applicants in any country.
  • 40 hours per week, flexible hours, choose your own schedule.
  • Pay is US$6 to US$15 per hour based on experience. If your rate expectation is above this range, this is not the role for you. Please do not apply.
  • Long-term role with full-time potential.
