Role Responsibilities

Overview

This role leads digital media strategy and execution. You will partner with internal teams, agencies, and analytics functions to deliver high-impact, performance-driven campaigns that support campaign goals, including member acquisition, retention, and brand engagement.

The Lead position requires an in-depth understanding of digital and performance marketing channels, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, video, and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate has experience developing performance-focused media objectives, stewarding multi-channel campaigns, managing budgets, analyzing data, and guiding agency partners to maximize ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of National and Local media strategies across digital and performance marketing channels
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, ensuring timely, high-quality execution and continuous performance optimization
  • Analyze campaign performance and proactively optimize; continuously monitor key metrics and provide actionable insights to achieve media goals and business objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Lifecycle Marketing, Portfolio, Brand Marketing, Analytics, Product, Clinical, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact
  • Present strategies, learnings, and results to senior leadership, influencing investment decisions and marketing priorities
  • Drive innovation by testing new platforms, technologies, and optimization strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 7 years in digital media strategy, performance marketing, and campaign execution
  • Proven experience with large bidding platforms (SA360, Kenshoo, Etc)
  • Expertise in paid search strategy and execution across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including advanced keyword architecture, match types, audience layering and full-funnel optimization at scale.
  • Proven leadership in performance-driven bidding and automation, leveraging smart bidding and platform algorithms to maximize ROI, efficiency, and growth across large, complex campaigns.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystem dynamics, consumer behavior, and performance marketing best practices
  • Demonstrated experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including oversight of campaign execution, optimization, and reporting
  • Deep expertise in performance metrics such as CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, and attribution modeling and the data flows required to support that work
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries, with a strong grasp of compliance requirements in digital media
  • Highly collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with a positive, proactive attitude and the ability to partner effectively across teams, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment in a fast-paced environment.
  • The associate selected for this role should reside in or around one of the following locations Arlington, VA; Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN, Dallas, TX, Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, and Fort Lauderdale, FL., Washington, D.C.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry
  • Proficiency in media analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, DSPs, paid social platforms)
  • Performance Media Agency or Fortune 50 client experience
  • Minimum 7 years in paid search specific media managing annual budgets of 25MM+

Additional Information

This position will operate on Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours and may required travel 1-2 times a year.

This position is listed as remote, but may require in office work from time to time.

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
