Role Overview

•Proven experience in leading managing land referencing activities for major infrastructure projects (e.g. DCO, NSIP, CPO, utilities, transport)

•A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in geography/planning

•experience in the production of books of reference, order plans, notices and schedules, and managing junior members of a team.

•Knowledge of projects involving the use of compulsory purchase would be an advantage (such as the Transport and Works Act, Compulsory Purchase Act, and the Planning Act)

•A competent GIS user who is able to collect, interpret and use land data.

•Full understanding of the statutory processes within which the Land Referencing requirements are to be delivered.  

•Full understanding of the project delivery process and the full Land Referencing Process

•Full understanding of the statutory due diligence requirements and extensive experience in delivering Land Referencing projects on behalf of clients 

•Good understanding and experience of Land Registers and Sasines records.

•Title interrogation / land investigation skills

•Understanding of investigations required and notices to be served

•Efficient and effective communicator.

•Strong attention to detail.

Team Overview

The Infrastructure Projects team is a single department covering the whole of the UK. It consists of over 60 staff located throughout the country at entry level to those with over 30 years’ experience.

We specialise in Infrastructure and Utilities clients and projects and are passionate about the high levels of service and collaborative working with our clients.
