We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team remotely. As a member of our Engineering Team, you will join an international team of highly skilled professionals that delivers global market-leading collection software and provides the best possible service to our clients worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Delivery and Customer Success teams to implement and improve the product.
- Participate in the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and review of product development modules.
- Implement technical tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
- Learn and apply best development practices, coding standards, and product architecture.
- Contribute to project delivery activities and continuously develop technical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in ICT or Engineering.
- Fundamental knowledge of relational databases and SQL, acquired through academic studies or projects.
- Basic understanding of Database Development concepts (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar RDBMS).
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with great attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication and writing skills in English.
- Ability to deliver assigned tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
- Good communication and writing skills in English & French
Will be considered a plus:
- Good understanding of basic ETL principles.
- Knowledge of server-side languages such as .NET and Java.
- Familiarity with web technologies and Internet protocols (XML, JSON, HTTP, TCP/IP).
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript and client-side scripting.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Bitbucket.
- Basic DBA knowledge.
- Web Server familiarity (especially IIS).
- Internship or academic project experience in software development.
- Ability to travel abroad, up to 20% annually, depending on project requirements and conditions.
- Good communication and writing skills in French.
