Midnight is building a regulatory-friendly data protection blockchain designed to safeguard sensitive commercial and personal data while enabling developers, enterprises, institutions, and ecosystem partners to build privacy-preserving applications.

The Midnight Product team works with partners, developers, Engineering, Developer Relations, Business Development, Growth, and Marketing to help turn real use cases into successful adoption of Midnight technology.

About the role

You are the first line of the product funnel. Every Midnight Problem Statement (MPS) and Midnight Implementation Plan (MIP) that comes in, you triage, pressure-test, and shape into something the team can decide on. It is a bounded surface area with a clear path to owning more: you start by screening and grow into owning a slice of the roadmap.

We work in the open on GitHub, favor writing over meetings, and value judgment over seniority. You will report to the Director of Product and work day to day with the Senior Technical Product Manager who runs our developer-experience pipeline. This is a remote, async-heavy team, so your docs and summaries need to stand on their own.

What you'll do

• Screen and triage every incoming MPS and MIP: check each for completeness and clarity, flag duplicates and gaps, score them against agreed criteria, and prepare the shortlist and recommendation the product team acts on.
• Turn partner and community feedback into well-formed problem statements, and help draft MPSs and MIPs from that input.
• Own a defined slice of the product roadmap in ClickUp: keep it accurate, chase down owners, and drive a set of items to done.
• Support Servicedesk ticket triage with the Shielded lab, routing issues to the right owners.
• Use AI tools to work faster: summarize incoming proposals, draft problem statements, and synthesize partner feedback, and improve the prompts and workflows the team relies on.
• Help track how well Midnight works for AI coding agents, and route what builders and agents need back into the proposal funnel.
• Write clear, concise decision memos and summaries that give others the context to move fast.
• Keep a shared, always-current view of open items, decisions, and blockers for the product team.

What you'll bring

• 1 to 3 years in a product, program, technical, or analyst role, or equivalent product ownership from another path. We care more about judgment and follow-through than years on a resume.
• Exceptional written communication: you can take something messy and make it clear and short, and your writing stands on its own in an async team.
• Comfort working in the open on GitHub, reading technical proposals, and holding a queue accountable.
• A structured, detail-oriented way of working: you track many moving items without dropping them.
• Genuine interest in crypto, privacy, user experience, or developer infrastructure, and the drive to learn the hard parts fast.
• Comfort operating with high autonomy across time zones, following through without being chased.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals, and ideally zero-knowledge proofs or selective disclosure.
• Exposure to governance processes or public proposal systems (EIPs, or similar).
• Hands-on comfort with GitHub Projects, Servicedesk & AI workflows.
• Any hands-on building on a blockchain, even a side project, so you know what end users need and what developers experience.
