ZipNom is looking for a Junior HR Executive to support and manage daily human resource operations. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to build a strong career in HR by gaining hands-on exposure in recruitment, onboarding, employee management, and HR administration within a fast-growing startup environment.


The Junior HR Executive will work closely with founders, team leads, and employees to ensure smooth HR operations and a positive workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities




1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition



  • Assist in end-to-end recruitment for interns, junior, and mid-level roles

  • Post job openings on platforms such as LinkedIn, Internshala, Indeed, and Naukri

  • Screen resumes and shortlist candidates based on job requirements

  • Schedule interviews and coordinate between candidates and hiring managers

  • Maintain recruitment trackers and candidate databases

  • Follow up with candidates regarding interview status and offers


2. Employee Onboarding & Induction


  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires

  • Collect, verify, and organize employee documents

  • Prepare onboarding kits and induction schedules

  • Explain company policies, rules, and HR procedures to new employees

  • Ensure smooth joining experience for employees and interns




3. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records (digital and physical)

  • Track attendance, leaves, and working hours

  • Assist in payroll coordination by sharing attendance and employee data

  • Handle employee exit formalities and documentation

  • Support compliance-related documentation as required


4. HR Documentation & Records

  • Prepare and issue offer letters, appointment letters, internship letters, and confirmation letters

  • Maintain employee files, contracts, and HR documents

  • Update HR policies and SOPs as instructed by management

  • Ensure confidentiality and data security of employee information


5. Employee Engagement & Coordination

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries

  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and initiatives

  • Support performance review processes and appraisal documentation

  • Promote a positive and professional work culture


6. HR Tools & Reporting


  • Update and manage data in HRMS tools (Zoho People, Keka, or similar)

  • Prepare basic HR reports related to hiring, attendance, and employee status

  • Maintain trackers using Excel / Google Sheets

  • Support automation and improvement of HR processes


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduation in any discipline (MBA/BBA in HR preferred)

  • 0–1 year of experience in HR or HR internship experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic understanding of recruitment and HR processes

  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets

  • Good organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

  • Willingness to learn and grow in a startup environment


Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

  • Experience working in a startup or IT services company

  • Familiarity with HRMS tools

  • Basic knowledge of Indian labor laws

  • Experience hiring interns and freshers

  • Exposure to payroll or performance management processes

Compensation


  • ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on skills and experience)

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

  • MBA / BBA / MSW in Human Resources (preferred but not mandatory)

  • HR internship or certification is an added advantage


Experience

  • 0–1 year of experience in HR, recruitment, or HR operations

  • Freshers with relevant HR internship experience can apply

  • Experience in a startup or IT company is a plus

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Basic knowledge of recruitment and HR processes

  • Ability to screen resumes and coordinate interviews

  • Experience using job portals (LinkedIn, Internshala, Indeed, Naukri)

  • Familiarity with HR documentation (offer letters, appointment letters, employee records)

  • Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets

  • Basic knowledge of HRMS tools (Zoho People, Keka, Darwinbox, etc.) is a plus
