We are looking for an Expert Jira Administrator to lead the end-to-end implementation of a Jira environment for one of our clients. This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role for someone who can translate functional requirements into scalable Jira solutions while recommending best practices and mentoring the client’s Scrum Master.

What you’ll do

  • Build and configure a complete Jira environment from scratch.

  • Design workflows, permissions, screen schemes, timesheets, dashboards, and reporting.

  • Translate business requirements into practical and scalable Jira solutions.

  • Proactively challenge requirements and recommend better approaches when needed.

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and provide real-time guidance.

  • Mentor the client’s Scrum Master on Jira administration and Agile/Scrum best practices.

  • Provide clear progress updates and communicate directly with client stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience.

  • 4+ years of professional Scrum experience.

  • Proven experience building or significantly redesigning Jira environments end to end.

  • Strong knowledge of workflows, permissions, screen schemes, time tracking, and reporting.

  • Advanced English proficiency—C1 or higher.

  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and serve as a consultative expert, not only as an order taker.

  • Experience teaching or mentoring others on Jira and Scrum processes.

Nice to have

  • Experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager.

  • Experience with Confluence and Tempo Timesheets.

  • Spanish proficiency.

Engagement details

  • Location: Remote within Latin America; candidates based in Monterrey, Mexico, are preferred.

  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Contract: Independent contractor.

  • Initial engagement: 2–3 months, with the possibility of extension or reassignment.

  • Equipment: Provided by Jobsity.
