What you'll be doing:
Promote IT security best practices company-wise
Ivestigate security breaches and other cyber-security incidents
Ensure the development of and continuous review/update of a suitable security awareness program
Conduct internal and external security audits
Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems
Ensure that the IT infrastructure is compliant with all regulatory requirements (i.e. 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR), existing SOPs, and generally accepted industry practices
Perform vulnerability assessments, security testing, and work on remediation and mitigation findings for companywide assets
Research and recommend improvements to the technical infrastructure relative to security, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), UTM, and overall system integrity
Provide off hour support on an infrequent, but as needed basis
Stay current on IT security trends and news
What we are Looking for:
Bachelor’s degree, or its international equivalent, in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience
Certification, or commitment to quickly obtain certification, such as Security +
1-2 years with significant security related information systems/technology experience or 3-5 years IT Operations experience with direct experience in a modern IT environment
Experience identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities and explaining to others how to avoid them
Hands-on experience with the following: Fortinet solutions, vulnerability scanning, antivirus & malware analysis, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), log correlation tools, and network access control (NAC)
Familiarity with machine learning concepts
Familiarity with best practice security configurations for solutions by VMWare, and Microsoft Windows Server
Strong familiarity with access-lists, subnet masks, subnetting, and ip routing
Background in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech development, or health care industry preferred
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment
Sound organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time sensitive issues and mandated deadlines
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Excellent team player; collaborative; consensus builder
