We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Fivetran, and Matillion, with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and supporting enterprise analytics initiatives.

In addition, the candidate should have practical experience leveraging Snowflake Intelligence and Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities to enable AI-powered analytics, data enrichment, automation, and business insights.

This role will partner closely with Data Architects, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business stakeholders to deliver trusted, high-quality data solutions that support reporting, advanced analytics, and AI-driven decision-making.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable ELT/ETL pipelines using Fivetran, Matillion, and Snowflake.
• Build and optimize data ingestion frameworks for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake data models, schemas, views, and transformation logic.
• Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Support batch and near real-time data integration requirements.

Snowflake Platform Engineering

• Design and implement data solutions leveraging Snowflake's cloud-native architecture.
• Manage Snowflake objects including databases, schemas, warehouses, tasks, streams, and secure data sharing.
• Implement performance tuning strategies, query optimization, and warehouse sizing recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance requirements.

AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement

• Utilize Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities for intelligent data processing, summarization, classification, sentiment analysis, and generative AI use cases.
• Implement AI-powered workflows using Snowflake-native AI services.
• Leverage Snowflake Intelligence to enable business users with natural language insights and data exploration capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analytics teams to operationalize AI/ML and GenAI solutions on Snowflake.

Collaboration & Best Practices

• Work closely with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and data platform enhancement initiatives.
• Develop technical documentation, data lineage documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Warehousing.
• Proven experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and data platforms.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Experience building and maintaining pipelines using Fivetran.
• Strong development experience with Matillion ETL/ELT.
• Advanced SQL skills and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data modeling principles including dimensional and normalized models.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Snowflake AI Skills

• Experience using Snowflake Cortex AI services and functions.
• Understanding of AI/GenAI concepts and Snowflake-native AI capabilities.
• Experience leveraging Snowflake Intelligence for conversational analytics and business insights.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted data workflows.
