  • Manage backup, restore, disaster recovery, replication, high availability, and business continuity processes.
  • Manage Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, schemas, users, roles, and permissions.
  • Implement role-based access control, network policies, authentication standards, and security best practices.
  • Support data ingestion, transformation, sharing, and integration processes.

Performance, Monitoring & Automation

  • Monitor performance, optimize workloads and resource utilization, and support cost governance.
  • Tune SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, warehouses, and database configurations.
  • Automate recurring administration tasks and continuously improve operational processes.

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Implement least-privilege access, encryption, authentication, authorization, and privileged-access controls.
  • Support access reviews, security audits, compliance assessments, vulnerability remediation, and evidence collection.
  • Maintain database standards, architecture documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Participate in change management, release management, and incident management processes.

Cloud & Data Platform Support

  • Support cloud database services and related infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Partner with data engineering teams on Databricks connectivity, platform dependencies, and operational support.
  • Assist with integrations among databases, applications, ETL/ELT solutions, cloud services, and analytics platforms.
  • Understand, maintain, and align database services with enterprise architecture, security, reliability, and cost-management standards.

Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 database support and perform troubleshooting for complex incidents.
  • Participate in on-call support and critical incident response when required.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, cloud, and data engineering teams across regions.
  • Communicate risks, root causes, remediation plans, and service improvements clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong administration experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases.
  • Strong SQL scripting, query optimization, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity-planning skills.
  • Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, high availability, patching, and migration activities.
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted database environments and applying database security best practices.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and consistently align to US Pacific Time business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure services and working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and database services.
  • Experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, and ETL/ELT or data-integration solutions.
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Azure DevOps, or Git.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management, audit controls, and regulated environments.
  • Relevant certifications in Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, AWS, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Databricks.
