IT & Cybersecurity Risk Lead

Summary

Messangi is looking for an IT & Cybersecurity Risk Analyst. This position aims to strengthen organizational security posture, and support strategic cybersecurity objectives and managing any tech risks across a corporate environment. Working with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Networking, Support, and Cyber), ensuring robust control implementation and proactive vulnerability management

Responsibilities

• Perform and monitor vulnerability analysis of the technological infrastructure
• Design, implement, and measure internal security policies and standards
• Participate in architecture reviews and security controls.
• Engage in security operations activities, including incident detection, investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Perform alert analysis, security monitoring, and operational troubleshooting
• Contribute to the documentation of procedures, standards, and security controls
• Establish security-by-design practices and review integrations to ensure access control and data protection.
• Support Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities and security compliance efforts.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend solutions to enhance security posture.
• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate security requirements into system development and operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or certification in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, security platform administration, incident response, and alert analysis.
• Conversational english (B2)
• Experience with cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security and the ability to translate standards into technical solutions. 
• Technical knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), networks and communication protocols, and security tools
• Solid experience in identity controls, encryption, and application protection, as well as sound judgment in risk management and architectural decision-making.
• Experience conducting security assessments and risk analyses.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Certifications in information security and proven experience in cloud security projects
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Fast learner and be able to solve problems independently,

This position will be remote for a candidate located in Venezuela or Colombia.
