The Director is responsible for strategic planning, IT architectural development, and the management of information services across the health delivery system. They oversee system implementation, application development, and ensure that information services align with organizational goals and customer needs.
SUMMARY:
Reports to the Vice President Information Services. Responsible for providing information, application and management services to the entire Brown University Health, as well as, the health delivery affiliates. Information management services include strategic planning, IT architectural development, tactical planning, system analysis and design, application development and/or purchase, system implementation and user training and education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains awareness of changes and trends in computer and systems technology in order to provide interpretation and recommendations to senior management. Participates in business planning through knowledge of and future vision of technology and systems as related to Brown University Health’s competitive position. Participates in development of long and short-term goals for effective operations of information services and related care delivery systems for Brown University Health as a whole and directly for a defined region. Participates with Vice President in developing strategy for information needs, systems development and hardware acquisition and integration. Ensures information services goals are consistent with Brown University Health’s goals and strategic objectives and that they meet or exceed customer needs and expectations; ensures customer satisfaction within region is maintained and enhanced. Develops and implements related policies and procedures to ensure effective operation of information services. Establishes standards for high quality work, communicates expectations to staff, evaluates effectiveness of policies and procedures and regularly prepares related reports on quality indicators.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor’s level of knowledge in computer sciences or related field, including knowledge of state of the art software development and implementation.

$162,988.80-$268,881.60
