International Vehicle Buyer Portugal (m/f/d)

With 37 locations across 10 federal states, more than 1,500 dedicated employees, and annual revenue of €1 billion in 2025, Autoland is Germany’s largest independent automotive retail company.

To expand our international supplier network, we are looking for a motivated automotive professional to further develop our activities in the Portuguese market. In this position, you will operate directly from Portugal, build sustainable B2B partnerships, and connect the Portuguese vehicle market with our headquarters in Germany.

Tasks

Your Responsibilities

• Vehicle Purchasing: Source and purchase new, nearly new, and used vehicles from the Portuguese market for resale in Germany.
• Network Development: Build, maintain, and strategically expand a strong network of suppliers and automotive dealers across Portugal.
• Negotiations: Conduct independent price negotiations and secure attractive purchasing conditions.
• Process Management: Manage the entire purchasing process, from initial contact through to vehicle delivery.
• Interface Function: Work closely with our international purchasing team in Germany and travel regularly to our headquarters in Brehna for coordination meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Your Profile

• Industry Experience: Proven experience in the automotive industry, vehicle trading, or international B2B purchasing.
• Language Skills: Fluent Portuguese and business-level English are essential. German language skills are considered a strong advantage for communication with our headquarters.
• Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication abilities, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of the automotive market.
• Working Style: High level of self-organization, independence, and a structured approach to remote work.
• Willingness to Travel: High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel within Portugal to support dealer relationships, as well as regular visits to Germany.
