Position Overview

The Interim Leadership Team Member role at Welcome Ministries is a temporary alignment and discernment phase designed to support mutual clarity regarding long-term leadership placement within the organization. This role allows emerging leaders to contribute meaningfully to ministry priorities while leadership evaluates strengths, fit, and organizational needs before establishing a permanent position.

During the interim period, leaders participate in structured ministry rhythms, support operational and strategic initiatives, and help strengthen internal systems and execution capacity. This role is both developmental and contributory, offering opportunities to engage in real ministry leadership responsibilities while refining the scope of future placement.

The Interim Leadership Team Member is expected to demonstrate spiritual maturity, alignment with ministry culture, accountability within leadership structures, and a commitment to serving with wisdom, humility, and excellence.

Responsibilities & Duties

Ministry Alignment & Vision Support

• Support implementation of ministry initiatives aligned with Welcome Ministries’ mission and strategic direction
• Participate in leadership rhythms that strengthen organizational clarity and execution
• Contribute insight and feedback that supports role development and ministry growth
• Engage in discernment conversations regarding long-term placement and leadership fit

Organizational Support & Capacity Building

• Assist with strengthening ministry systems, workflows, and internal coordination
• Contribute to documentation, process development, and operational clarity as needed
• Support cross-functional ministry initiatives as assigned

• Help advance projects that increase organizational effectiveness and sustainability

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

• Participate in ministry-wide initiatives that require cross-team collaboration
• Support execution of emerging priorities that do not yet fall within a defined department
• Assist leadership with pilot efforts that help shape future ministry roles and structures
• Contribute to initiatives that strengthen ministry readiness for future growth

Leadership Development Participation

• Engage consistently in leadership development rhythms and training environments
• Demonstrate teachability, accountability, and responsiveness to feedback
• Grow in understanding of Welcome Ministries’ leadership culture and expectations
• Participate in evaluation checkpoints that support clarity around long-term placement

Culture & Representation Expectations

• Model a Spirit-led posture in communication, service, and collaboration
• Represent Welcome Ministries with integrity in both internal and external interactions
• Demonstrate alignment with ministry values, leadership standards, and relational culture
• Support unity, clarity, and healthy team dynamics across departments

Interim Role Outcomes

The Interim Leadership Team Member role is designed to:

• Evidence of spiritual maturity and commitment to servant leadership
• Ability to collaborate within structured leadership environments
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills

• Capacity to steward responsibilities faithfully alongside existing commitments
• Willingness to participate in leadership development rhythms and evaluation checkpoints

• This is a temporary developmental leadership role, not a finalized permanent position
• Responsibilities may adapt as ministry needs and leadership alignment become clearer
• Participation supports discernment regarding future leadership placement opportunities
• Time commitments will be clarified in collaboration with supervising leadership
• Continued placement beyond the interim phase is determined through mutual alignment and organizational readiness
