AI Summary

Design and implement practical integration solutions using a specific technology stack for university partners. Act as the internal subject matter expert for platforms including Zapier, FormAssembly, and Salesforce to support and upskill colleagues.

This is a technical role with a strong solutioning element; you will be the subject matter expert our teams turn to across our core platforms: Zapier, Jitterbit Harmony, SnapLogic, FormAssembly, and Salesforce.

Day to day, you will be the person who takes a new or complex requirement from a university partner, interrogates it, and designs a practical solution within our technology stack and support scope. That means understanding what a partner actually needs (which is not always what they ask for), knowing what our platforms can and cannot do, and being creative enough to find the right fit between the two. You will also support and upskill BAU colleagues on platform capabilities, acting as the internal SME they escalate to when a ticket requires deeper knowledge than standard support.

Knowledge of higher education data; applicant flows, UCAS structures, student record systems, and how universities think about recruitment data; is highly desirable. The more quickly you can speak a partner's language, the faster you will have impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solutioning & Requirements Analysis

  • Receiving and interrogating complex requirements from university partners & asking the right questions to understand the underlying need

  • Designing solutions within our technology stack (Zapier, Jitterbit Harmony, SnapLogic, FormAssembly, Salesforce) that are practical, maintainable, and within our support scope

  • Assess feasibility and risks flagging where a requirement exceeds current capability or scope propose alternatives where appropriate

  • Document solution designs clearly so that they can be understood, maintained, and handed over within the team

  • Work with the Platform Services Manager and wider team to prioritise solution delivery Platform SME – Integrations

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for Zapier; including Zapier Tables, complex multi-step workflows, user management, error monitoring, and workspace hygiene

  • Provide SME support on SnapLogic and Jitterbit integrations; diagnosing feed failures, understanding data flow end-to-end, and advising the team on integration design

  • Own complex integration issues that exceed first-line capability; root-cause analysis, fix, and rerun coordination

  • Monitor and maintain integration health across the partner estate; audit and retire stale or broken workflows proactively Platform SME – FormAssembly

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for FormAssembly; the go-to person for complex form builds, advanced logic, and troubleshooting

  • Build and maintain forms requiring custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including multi-step flows, conditional logic, and dynamic field behaviour

  • Troubleshoot form issues in partner website contexts; embedding failures, submission errors, cross-browser problems

  • Ensure WCAG accessibility compliance across partner-facing forms

  • Audit the live form estate; maintain hygiene and retire unused forms

  • Support and coach colleagues on FormAssembly capability and best practice Platform SME – Salesforce & Data

  • Provide advanced Salesforce support to the team; Flow diagnosis, complex config, data tooling

  • Use Workbench, Data Loader, and SOQL confidently for data inspection, export, and mass updates

  • Diagnose and resolve data issues arising from integration failures; understand state, impact, and the correct rerun sequence

  • Support partners during high-pressure periods including embargo and clearing (August–September) Team Support & Knowledge Sharing

  • Be the first point of escalation for colleagues when a ticket requires deeper platform knowledge

  • Share platform knowledge proactively; run show-and-tell sessions, contribute to documentation, and help upskill the team

  • Maintain documentation of partner-specific configurations, known quirks, and solution designs

  • Participate in partner-facing calls when a platform specialist is needed to discuss requirements or solutions

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Hands-on experience with integration platforms; Zapier (including complex workflows and Zapier Tables), SnapLogic, Jitterbit, or equivalent iPaaS tools

  • Experience with FormAssembly or a comparable advanced form-builder platform — including custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within forms

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse a requirement, identify the real need behind it, and design a practical solution within platform constraints

  • Comfortable with Salesforce data tooling; Workbench, Data Loader, SOQL

  • SQL proficiency for data interrogation and troubleshooting • Strong written communication; able to document solution designs and explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues and partners

  • Systematic, methodical approach to problem diagnosis; follows issues back to root cause and documents findings

  • Comfortable acting as a subject matter expert and supporting less experienced colleagues

Desirable

  • Experience with higher education data; UCAS applicant feeds, SITS/SITS:Vision or other student record systems, HE CRM workflows, or similar sector-specific data structures

  • Familiarity with how universities think about student recruitment data and the common pain points in applicant-to-enrolment data flows

  • Exposure to Salesforce Flows or Service Cloud configuration

  • Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards in a form or web context

  • Experience working across multiple clients or partner institutions simultaneously — comfortable managing competing priorities

  • Knowledge of Marketing Cloud or email automation data structures

What We Offer

  • A varied technical role with real creative latitude; you will design solutions, not just implement tickets

  • SME status from day one across platforms that the wider team relies on

  • A supportive team with strong institutional knowledge and a collaborative working culture

  • Exposure to a major platform consolidation programme and an evolving AI integration roadmap

  • Remote-first, flexible working with occasional team/company events (3-4 per year)

  • Competitive salary and a genuine commitment to professional development
