What is this role about?
We are looking for an experienced Integration SME to lead the architecture, standardization, and integration of complex warehouse and manufacturing automation ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in integrating WMS, WES, WCS, SAP, ASRS, AMR/AGV, conveyors, robotics, pack-out automation, and manufacturing execution systems within highly automated warehouse and distribution environments.
The SME will work closely with business stakeholders, automation vendors, IT teams, and solution architects to define system boundaries, integration patterns, data ownership, real-time communication models, and future-state architecture for automated facilities. This role will be instrumental in establishing standardized integration frameworks and ensuring seamless interoperability across multiple automation platforms. Define end-to-end integration architecture across:
WMS, WES, WCS
SAP ECC / SAP EWM

Third-Party Automation Platforms
Automation System Integration:
Design and standardize integration frameworks between warehouse software platforms and automation equipment.
Define real-time event-driven communication models for material movement, mission execution, inventory updates, and workflow orchestration.
Create standardized APIs, messaging patterns, interface specifications, and integration governance models.
Warehouse Control & Orchestration :
Define responsibilities and interactions among WMS, WES, and WCS layers.
Design orchestration approaches for:
Material flow control
Task management
Inventory synchronization
Equipment coordination
Exception handling
Develop enterprise standards for:
Solution Assessment & Recommendations :
Assess current-state systems and identify integration gaps.
Recommend optimal architecture for highly automated warehouse environments.
Provide guidance on SAP WM/EWM, third-party WMS, custom orchestration solutions, and automation control strategies.
Lead architecture workshops and stakeholder reviews.
