Job Summary:

The Integration Manager will lead and coordinate the integration of a newly acquired business, ensuring alignment with Volaris’ operating culture, financial disciplines, talent practices, and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will help the business move from acquisition close to stable operating rhythm by building integration plans, coaching local leadership, identifying risks, and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading large and complex businesses, strong business acumen, and the ability to operate across geographies. They must be willing and able to travel extensively and/or live in Australia during critical phases of the integration to provide direct support to the business.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a practical integration plan that aligns the acquired business with Volaris’ operating framework, financial cadence, leadership expectations, and business disciplines.

  • Provide hands-on support to the acquired leadership team, including coaching on Volaris’ culture, business language, key metrics, financial reporting, operating reviews, HR processes, and decision-making norms.

  • Establish clear integration milestones, accountabilities, and progress measures, ensuring leadership has timely visibility into risks, decisions, and areas requiring support.

  • Partner with the Portfolio Manager, HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and other functional teams to coordinate integration activity and remove barriers to execution.

  • Assess the acquired business’ current operating rhythm, leadership capability, organizational structure, and execution risks, and help translate those insights into practical integration actions.

  • Identify and mitigate operational, financial, people, customer, and cultural risks during the integration period.

  • Support the acquired leaders in understanding and adopting Volaris’ approach to P&L management, forecasting, talent management, strategic planning, and performance accountability.

  • Build trust with local management and employees by balancing integration discipline with respect for the acquired company’s context, strengths, and customer commitments.

  • Provide regular, concise updates to portfolio leadership on integration progress, key issues, decisions required, and recommended next steps.

  • Where needed, spend extended time in Australia to support local leadership, accelerate adoption, and ensure integration priorities are embedded in the day-to-day business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience leading large, complex businesses, ideally with direct accountability for business performance, cross-functional teams, and leadership decision-making.

  • Strong understanding of Volaris’ business language, operating model, key financial metrics, and performance expectations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and drive decisions without relying solely on formal authority.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including comfort with P&L performance, forecasting, operating metrics, and investment memo commitments.

  • Experience supporting business transformation, change management, acquisitions, integrations, or major operating model transitions is strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to translate broad integration objectives into clear actions, owners, timelines, and follow-through.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to coach leaders, build credibility quickly, and work effectively across cultures and time zones.

  • Ability to identify risk early, escalate appropriately, and bring pragmatic solutions forward.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and/or live in Australia during key phases of the integration.

  • Ability to be based in Australia or Western North America, with flexibility to work across time zones.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A strong operator who has led large, complex businesses and understands what it takes to translate strategy into disciplined execution.

  • A credible and practical leader who can build trust with a newly acquired team while holding the business accountable to integration priorities.

  • A commercially minded problem solver who can balance people, performance, customer, and operational considerations.

  • A strong coach who can help local leaders understand expectations without overwhelming the business with unnecessary process.

  • A future-oriented leader who could reasonably progress into a Group Leader role or an M&A-focused role following a successful integration.

Career Growth Opportunities

While the primary focus of this role is leading the integration of a newly acquired business, successful candidates may have the opportunity over time to pursue broader leadership opportunities within Volaris, including business leadership, Group Leader, integration leadership, or M&A-related roles, depending on business needs, performance, and future growth opportunities.

Why This Role Matters

A successful integration requires more than project coordination. It requires a leader who can understand the business, earn trust, clarify expectations, strengthen operating discipline, and help the acquired team transition without losing momentum. This role is critical to ensure the business is set up for long-term success within Volaris.
