Insurance Solution Architect

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Solution Architect to lead solution architecture, consulting, and large-scale transformation initiatives for insurance clients. The ideal candidate will combine deep insurance domain expertise with strong Solution/Enterprise Architecture, cloud, digital transformation, and client advisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex insurance transformation programs.
- Define target-state architecture, integration strategies, technology roadmaps, and solution blueprints.
- Advise clients on insurance modernization, platform selection, digital transformation, and technology strategy.
- Lead discovery workshops and engage with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Support RFPs, proposals, pre-sales, solutioning, effort estimates, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, architecture, and insurance domain teams.
- Drive modern architecture practices including AWS, Azure, GCP, APIs, microservices, data, digital platforms, and AI/GenAI.
- Provide architecture governance and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Insurance, or related field.
- 15+ years of insurance technology/business transformation experience.
- 8+ years of Solution Architecture / Enterprise Architecture experience.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes including Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Billing, Distribution, Customer Engagement, and Reinsurance.
- Experience leading large-scale insurance modernization programs.
- Strong client-facing consulting and executive stakeholder management experience.
- Experience with cloud-native and digital transformation solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Sapiens, Fadata, or Insurity.
- Experience across P&C, Life, Health, Commercial, or Specialty Insurance.
- Experience with global Tier-1 insurance carriers and InsurTech ecosystems.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI-enabled insurance solutions.
- Experience supporting strategic RFPs, proposals, and complex pre-sales engagements.
Preferred Certifications
- TOGAF
- AWS Solutions Architect – Professional
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Guidewire Certification
- CPCU, AINS, LOMA, or other Insurance certifications
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
