Position Overview: As an Insurance Regulatory Consultant at Mitchell Williams, you will play a crucial role in supporting and collaborating with our attorneys and other compliance professionals in our vibrant insurance regulatory practice. Your attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will directly impact our Firm’s continued success.  Will consider fully remote employment or the applicant can work in our Little Rock, Arkansas or Austin, Texas offices.   Job Responsibilities of position, include but are not limited to:   Preparing a variety of supporting legal documents related to a variety of regulatory filings, including insurance company or third-party administrator licensing and other similar applications, holding company filings, and other regulatory filings.  Responsible for proofreading and spell checking all documents. Conducts legal research, including AI-assisted research, to gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations. Maintains and organizes electronic and, if necessary, physical files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. Communicates with clients, other law firms or consultants, and insurance regulators with courtesy and professionalism, reflecting the positive ethos of the Firm. Reviews and proofreads documents for accuracy and consistency.  Manages communications and office tasks as needed on projects Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and adheres to ethical standards. Perform other duties, responsibilities and special projects as requested. Qualifications The equivalent of a high school education, bachelor’s degree highly preferred. A minimum of three-to-five years cumulative experience with one or more of the following: An insurance company or an affiliated entity responsible for management of the insurance company, with responsibilities relating to filings and compliance; A state insurance department with financial, product, or holding company oversight responsibilities; or A law firm or consulting firm with responsibilities relating to insurance regulatory filings or compliance. Excellent spelling and grammatical skills. Proficient in legal research tools, including AI-assisted research. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational ability with attention to detail. Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues in a respectful, inclusive and diverse manner. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently with limited required direction and guidance on simultaneous complex projects. Must meet all local health regulations. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
