We're seeking an Insights/Data Analyst to support a leading gaming company. This contract role is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA, with a contract duration of over a year. Join a dynamic team focused on leveraging data to enhance gaming experiences and inform strategic decisions.
*Insights Analyst Responsibilities:*
* Collaborate with data engineers to build and refine datasets on player engagement, product performance, and marketing outcomes for Riftbound.
* Analyze large and small datasets to identify player and store behavior patterns, needs, and preferences.
* Develop key performance indicators and dashboards to monitor game health, business metrics, content success, and regional launch outcomes.
* Partner with design and product teams to create frameworks, test hypotheses, and deliver actionable insights for strategy adjustments.
* Support additional data insights initiatives such as audience analysis, research development, and demand planning.
*Insights Analyst Qualifications:*
* Over five years of experience in data analytics, with at least two years focused on online games or physical trading card games.
* Proven proficiency with data engineering processes, including building ETLs, DAGs, and transforming raw data.
* Skilled in SQL, Databricks, and Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, unpolished data environments.
* Experienced in analyzing various game metrics such as engagement, retention, revenue, and player lifecycle.
* Knowledge of market analysis, game meta, and competitive data including social sentiment.
* Demonstrates scientific methodology through hypothesis development and testing.
* Strong storytelling and data presentation abilities, effective at communicating insights to senior leadership.
